Priorites for gold
I'm about to come into 300k on Guild Wars (don't ask how, it's a long story, I did not buy it on ebay or anything like that) and I am thinking about what the best things to spend it on would be (15k armor, guild hall upgrades, expensive greens, stuff like that).
So, what would be the first things you would get if you suddenly had 300k?

If I had 300K to spend, I would just get a set of 15K armor for my main character, dye it to the color of my choosing, equip the necessary runes, and blow the change on the best weapon/shield/offhand/whatever you can get. I could pull all that off too, since the skin of the weapon doesn't matter to me (collector/crafter items FTW).

I would buy:
-15k armor
-a mini pet (because it'll be a long time until I get one of my own)
-spend the rest on a weapon or something

Probably nothing
I dunno why people go all crazy over 15k/FoW armor, half of them look terrible (worse than their droks counterparts). So, uh, minipets I guess!

Save it. You never know... Ch.3 might charge you 1 plat for every hour you're in game. (Thinking about skills costing 1 plat in Ch2 vs Ch1 skill quests.)
Seriously... if you do any amount of PvP you may want to spend it on unlocking all the skills you think you'll need. I've got 250k and a about half as many skill points set aside to unlock all the new must have skills.
As for 15k armor... I dunno. I was all set to get my necro a set of 15k luxon and found that I really liked the 1.5k. a lot more. If I were you I'd look around here and at guildwiki before I ran off and got any 15k sets.
Sure there are bragging rights attached, but some of the sets are not that good looking. (Worst is the FoW ritualist crap... can anyone say "teapot.")

Even if I had 300k, I would not get 15k armor for any of my characters. I also wouldn't get any fancy skins on weapons or anything either. I would get the cheapest version of maximum weapons and armors for each of my characters in all the roles I expect them to play. For example, for a warrior, I would need axes, swords, and hammers. Considering a superior vigor alone would cost around 30k*5=150k, half the money is already spent.

/OFF topic..
I could really use some back story on why ritualists need to be blindfolded? Maybe to see into the "spirit realm" or is it to prevent distraction while communing?
/BACK on topic...

300k isn't that much money, sorry to say.
Maybe buy a 15k set, if you've got your eye on one. Shore up any weaknesses of your characters.
Ask yourself these kind of questions:
Do you *need* a perfect Mursaat Hornbow? or will any gold max 15^50 hornbow work?
Do I *need* new runes?
Do I need new armor or a *different* set with different stats?
Does it *need* to be dyed black?
etc..... basically save as much as you can, for the things you DON'T know that you want yet!

1) I'd spend it on buying a weapon. (I'd like to build a Furious 10% Shadow Blade of Fortitude +30, though broadsword is looking pretty nice, too. I'd want to see one "in person" first, though, just to make sure I like the look.)
2) I'd spend it all on skill caps and skill purchases. (One of my goals is to obtain *every* skill on one character, so that'll take a lot of platinum and skill points.)

Armor. Why? It has less of a volatility than other items such as weapons and minipets. Also, armor (including dye) is more important than weapons. Weapons you can get easily from the wepaon crafter. Armor is more of a investment in that sense.
Rare skins are completely killed when new chapters come out. Armor doesn't age (especially since upgrades will be offered later on). Plus armor shows in town, and weapons do not. Armor is seen more easily than weapons as well.
After spending money on armor, I would just keep the money for things actually needed, instead of luxuries. Examples include weapons from the crafter after killing shiro (that give +5 energy), and 15% -5 energy weapons.

If I had 300k, I'd panic and be like "Where the hell did the rest of my money go?"

Very much agreed. I am comming up to 500k and i did what most people do to get that much...farm...with war...
1. Id spend money to get a 55 monk to supa farm.
2. Get 1.5k luxon monk armor, cause its awsome.
3. Keep saving for new weapons...mini pets (wouldnt spend money on this because its just a luxury....). You never know what is in store for drops and weapons/builds. Keep saving and you will never be caught poor and not being able to do the latest "thing". Good luck

Hmm...by 15k armor i assume people mean grotto armor and the other place's (i forget what it's called.) Would FoW armor be a possibility here with 300k? I've heard of it costing way more, with the price of materials and everything.
